The inspiration for Sylvester Stallone’s new home comes from nature and represents his passion for living green.

The designer of his home says that it was important to not only design a beautiful house, but also one that is environmentally friendly. Only using recycled materials, they were able to keep construction costs low and reduce waste.

They chose wood as their main building material because it’s natural, recyclable and sustainable and doesn’t require as much energy to produce or as many emissions in its production process.

A great way to save energy in your own home is by changing out light bulbs; halogen bulbs can last up to 3 years before needing to be replaced, which will save you more than $100 over its lifespan.

A huge pool with an island in the middle

You’ll want to see it to believe it. The two-story foyer in Sylvester Stallone’s Hollywood Hills mansion has what must be one of, if not the, most amazing elevator designs we’ve ever seen.

We say that because first, it spans both floors and second, it features a 30-foot vaulted ceiling with actual skylights.

How cool is that? What makes us jealous beyond belief though are all of those European antiques you can see all over this place a far cry from our Craigslist sofa sitting in our living room while we write these words.

If only we could have a home like Sylvester Stallone.

One of the most impressive elevator designs ever!

Sylvester Stallone’s home was featured in Architectural Digest and it just happens to have one of our favorite elevator designs ever. When you enter, you’ll find that it connects both floors of his 15,000 square foot home.

Not only does it blend into a wall but when you step inside, you’ll be immediately drawn to an incredible aquarium featuring hundreds of colorful fish.

It’s not just unique from an aesthetic standpoint but because it seems so out of place considering most elevators are simply there to transport us from one floor to another.

This elevator truly makes a statement and helps make his unbelievable home even more interesting and impressive than we could have imagined. You can read more about it here or check out some awesome pictures below

Once again, an amazing elevator

Maybe it’s not a 7-car garage, but we have to admit we’re impressed by Sylvester Stallone’s home elevator. It’s such a useful feature for some homes, especially if you live on more than one floor.

Elevators are perfect for homes that are multilevel, large in size and challenging to navigate. What do you think about home elevators? Would you consider them for your home? Why or why not?

The lake where Slyvester Stallone stores his yacht

With more than enough room for his 58′ yacht, and fully equipped with a pool, waterfall, bar and even a helipad on board, Slyvester Stallone has done very well for himself.

The actor paid $10 million to purchase his lovely Los Angeles mansion in 2000. The home sits on an impressive 20 acre lot which comes complete with a lake perfect for entertaining guests or cruising around in your fancy yacht.

He also had one of our favorite celebrity residences built by architect Richard Landry (the same guy who did Paris Hilton’s house), so that was obviously a smart move.

Sylvester didn’t have to be rich to afford such an extravagant abode but he is definitely earning that income now as he will reportedly make $14 million from Creed 2 alone.

A stunning view from Slyvester Stallone’s bedroom

It’s a bird’s eye view of Hollywood: Sylvester Stallone couldn’t believe his eyes when he snapped on his sunnies and glanced out of his bedroom window because he could see all over Los Angeles.

The Rocky star had to get up at dawn for some work at his home in Beverly Hills, California, and thought it would be nice to open up a pair of blinds to watch birds fly by.

But he was shocked when a beam of sunlight shone directly into his face from more than 20 miles away. He says, I got up early one morning before sunrise to go outside on my balcony. I wanted to see if there were any birds around.
